Truthfully, I'm a very vanilla person. I do not typically interact with, personally support, or feel comfortable around fictional taboo content. I either will silently block and move on, or simply not interact with it.At the same time, I can see and acknowledge the harm in the current global-spread of artistic censorship (often rooted in religion-backed anti-LGBT rhetoric, misogyny, and racism) and am against it.Self-moderation labeling features, online and in-person, should 100% be made more robust and hyper-specific across all spaces. This would better filter out NSFW content from general-media and better lock-out children from consuming said adult media, while also helping us taboo-averse individuals minimize/eliminate contact with taboo content from our own feeds and be properly warned of its presence.This is a very nuanced topic, rather than being rigidly black and white. Hi, That2004Kid here! My real name is Josh (Any/All) and I’m a 2nd-gen Jamaican-American illustrator, animator, photographer, clothing designer, writer, and cartoonist.
